How to make homemade playdough
Do your kids faces light up when you mention play dough? Mine 100% do! The joy of playing with it still feels new to them because I don't really allow them to play with it anytime they want.

Man, typing that out makes me feel like a tyrant over the play dough.

The truth is that for a long time I had a list of "Hard No's" in my house.  Play dough and Slime were always tied for first place because I just couldn't handle the mess and pickup afterwards.  (Thank goodness I found out that vinegar helps to clean up slime! Hot water and cloth towel pickup play dough just fine.)

I still struggle with it, but by making it part of our school time I've been able to make a mental switch.  I actually look forward to playing with play dough now with my kiddos.

Do you remember that part in Sister Act 2 when Sister Mary Clarence (Whoopi Goldberg) quotes Rainer Maria Wilke from " Letters to a Young Poet" to Rita (played by Lauryn Hill):

I think of this part of this nostalgic movie and quote all the time because I have been dreaming & thinking of something for the longest time and not giving it enough weight to spring into action for it.

What have you been dreaming about, or had in your heart, or been waking up to the thought of most if not every.single, day?

I'll let you in on mine.

Our middle little turned 4 this year during quarantine.  All our plans to do some sort of mash up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle / Spiderman / Super Fast Cheetah (he likes to run) birthday party went out the window when Covid-19 drove everyone indoors.

We did invite some family and friends to do a drive-by birthday party for him, but when he looked into our eyes and sweetly asked for one of those super cool electric cars or jeeps some kids in the neighborhood were riding on our afternoon bike rides... we couldn't help but at least research them.

The thing is that, typically, electric toy cars can be pretty expensive, bulky, and they don't go all that fast. Thankfully, Danny found this gem! The Rollplay 12V Nighthawk Electric Ride On Toy Car.... whew the title of it is a mouthful! Despite the long, very descriptive name, it's a winner in our book and we love it... let me count the ways:
